Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz, may God have mercy on him, said:
The sections of jihad
With life, money, supplication, guidance, and helping in good by any means, the greatest jihad is jihad with oneself, then jihad with money, and jihad with opinion and guidance, and the call is also from jihad, so jihad with the soul is the highest. Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baz (7/334, 335)
1- The Greater Jihad (jihad against the soul and against Satan)
As for striving against oneself, it is to learn the matters of the religion and then to act upon them, to teach it and be patient with that, and as for fighting Satan, to o pay the suspicions that come with him, and what adorns it of cravings.
Allah says
وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ (69)
And those who strive for Us, We will guide them to Our paths, and indeed, Allah is with the benefactors (69)
Abdullah bin Abbas said
And those who strive in obedience to us, we will guide them to the paths of our reward, this deals with the general obedience of all sayings.
2 - The Great Jihad
Almighty saying
فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُم بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا {الفرقان:52}
It is meant to teach the Holy Quran
On the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas
The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, never fought a people but called them: its chain of transmission is authentic.
And it was said: Mujahid
It is patience for acts of worship
Al-Hassan said
The best jihad is contrary to passion
Al-Fudail bin Ayyad said
And those who strive to seek knowledge, We will guide them to the ways of knowledge
Sahl bin Abdullah said
And those who strive to establish the Sunnah, We will guide them to the paths of Paradise
Narrated by Ibn Abbas
And those who strive to obey us, we will guide them to the paths of our reward
3 - teaching and learning
Al-Tirmidhi (2685) narrated it and declared it authentic, on the authority of Abu Umamah, may God be pleased with him
On the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said
God and His angels and the people of the heavens and the earth, even the ant, in its hole and even to the whale, so that they may pray for the teacher of the people: the goodness.
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said
(He who calls to guidance will have a reward like the rewards of whoever follows him does not detract from their wages something.” Narrated by Muslim (2674)
Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, may God have mercy on him, said
It does not mean that the martyr is greater in reward than the seeker of knowledge, In obtaining martyrdom, if he is killed in the cause of God Almighty, absolute virtue is not required of him.
Ibn Al-Qayyim said in (Al-Nuniyah)
If a person is distinguished by a characteristic, it is not necessary for him to be the best at all, the martyr, even if he distinguished himself by martyrdom in the cause of God Almighty, but it is at the hands of the seeker of knowledge and scholars in the interest of the nation, spreading the call that is not in the Diwan of the Martyr, who was diligent in the request, quick to understand, strong to memorize, known for genius: It is better to seek knowledge for him, especially if he is weak and he does not have sufficient knowledge of the methods of war and fighting.
Allah says
And the believers would not have set out all together, were it not for a group from every sect of them to learn the religion, and let them warn their people when they return to them, that they may be warned (122)
Al-Nafir: The people are marching to fight
Note: God - the Exalted - called learning Islamic knowledge (Nafeer)
4 - Al - Hajj and Al - Umrah
Allah says
انفِرُوا خِفَافًا وَثِقَالًا وَجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ [التوبة:41]
Go forth, light and heavy, and strive with your wealth and yourselves in the cause of God [At-Tawbah: 41]
The Messenger, peace be upon him, said when Aisha said
O Messenger of God! We see the Better deeds Al - Jihad, do we not strive? He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: You must perform jihad, in which there is no fighting, Hajj and Umrah.
Al-Hussein bin Ali, may God be pleased with them both, narrated
That a man came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: I am a coward and I am weak, so he said: “Come to a jihad in which there is no thorn: the Hajj.”
5 - Women (obedient woman to her husband)
Muslim bin Obaid narrated that she came to the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - while he was among his companions, and she said: I'm ambassador from the women to you, God Almighty sent you to all men and women, so we believed in you and your God, - and the women closed compartments, the bases of your homes, and the fulfillment of your desires, and bearers of your children, and that you men have been preferred over us by gatherings and congregations, visiting the sick, attending funerals, performing Hajj after Hajj, better than that is jihad in the way of God - the Mighty and Majestic - and that if a man goes out for Hajj or Umrah, or a mujahid, We guarded your wealth for you, spun your clothes, and raised your children for you, Shall we not share with you the reward? The Prophet turned to his companions with his whole face and then said: Have you ever heard a woman say something better than questioning her about her religion than this one? They said: O Messenger of God, we did not think that a woman would be guided to such a thing, The Prophet turned to her and said: Understand, O woman, and inform the women behind you, It is good for a woman to be obedient to her husband (i.e. her good company with him) her seek for his pleasure and followed his consent, all of this is amended, so the woman left while she was rejoicing.
Scholars differed whether a woman should wage jihad with her money
And the closest and most likely is that she has to fight with money. Because it is included in the general, If she has money and she has plenty, then she should perform jihad with her money while doing what God facilitates, such as Hajj and Umrah.
6- He who is imprisoned by an excuse
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said in the authentic hadith about the Battle of Tabuk: There are people in Medina, You have not walked a path nor crossed a valley except that they are with you, imprisoned by an excuse. They said: O Messenger of God! Are they in Al - Medina? He said: They are in Al Medina.
in the other wording

And let there be from among you a nation that invites to good and enjoins what is right and forbids what is wrong, and it is they who will be successful (104)
On the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, you must enjoin good and forbid evil, or God is about to send a punishment upon you from Him, then you will call on Him and He will not respond to you.
8 - The unjust imam
The master of the martyrs, Hamzah bin Abdul Muttalib, and a man who stood up to an unjust imam, so he commanded him and forbade him, so he killed him. It was narrated by Al-Hakim - who declared it authentic - and Al-Khatib, and Al-Albani graded it authentic.

Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “He who strives to protect the widow and the needy is like the one who strives in the cause of God or the one who stands up at night and fasts during the day
10- Good deeds in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah
Ibn Abbas - may God be pleased with them both - narrated that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, there are no days in which righteous deeds are dearer to Allah than these ten days, They said, O Messenger of God, not even jihad in the way of God, he said: Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except for a man who went out with himself and his money and did not return with anything from that.”
11- Honoring one's parents
Narrated by Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, He asked him for permission to perform jihad, so he said: are your parents alive?” He said: Yes. He said: “In both of them strived.”
A man came to Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with her, and said
I got engaged to a woman and she refused to marry me, and someone else proposed to her , she loved to marry him, but she was jealous of her and killed her, Is there any repentance for me? He said: Is your mother alive? He said: No. He said: Repent to God Almighty and draw near to Him as much as you can, [Ata bin Yasar said] so I went and asked Ibn Abbas: why did you ask him about his mother's life? He said: I do not know a deed closer to God Almighty than righteousness to the mother.
12 - The worker is on charity
Rafi bin Khadij, may God be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “The one who works on charity is right, like a warrior in the cause of God until he returns to his home.

The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “If he went out striving for a little sons, It is for the sake of God, and if he went out to seek the care of two elderly parents, then he is in the way of God, and if he went out to seek himself to absolve her, then he is in the way of God, And if he went out seeking to show off and brag, then he is in the way of Satan.”
